The European Cooperation Day is traditionally celebrated in September. The initiative in 2019 was organized under the motto "Digital World is FUN". The aim of this year's event was to present the results of projects implemented under the Programme, the benefits for the public, to encourage the development of digital skills among children and young people and to allow them to open a window to the world through technology.
Interreg-IPA CBC Programme Bulgaria-Turkey 2014-2020 chose to celebrate at “Hristo Smirnenski” Regional Library, Haskovo, a lead partner of the project “Haskovo and Edirne - cultural and historical destinations”, CB005.1.23 .044. The project has been promoted for the RegioStars Awards 2019 in the “Promoting digital transformation” category 1.
At the start of the celebration the participants were greeted by Mr. Ivan Delchev - Head of the Joint Secretariat and Mrs. Galya Todorova - chief expert at the Haskovo Regional Inspectorate of Education.
Mrs. Kirilka Strashnikova - Director of “Hristo Smirnenski” Regional Library presented in an interesting way the project “Haskovo and Edirne - cultural and historical destinations”, CB005.1.23 .044, implemented under the First Call for Proposals of the Interreg-IPA CBC Programme Bulgaria-Turkey 2014-2020.
For the pupils from “St. Ivan Rilski” Primary school, Haskovo the celebration continued with a funny Finch Robot Programming and games with the interactive Fluur mat. For taking part in the quiz about the European Union and the Programme, the children received lots of presents and a certificate.
