Official Contract Awarding Ceremony under the Second Call – Sofia, 23 July 2019

The official ceremony for awarding of the first set of subsidy contracts under the Second Call for project proposals of Interreg-IPA Cross-border Cooperation Programme Bulgaria – Turkey was held on 23 July 2019 at the “Press Centre” Hall in the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works in Sofia, Bulgaria. The Deputy Minister of Regional Development and Public Works Denitsa Nikolova and the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey Faruk Kaymakcı congratulated the beneficiaries with signed contracts under the second call for proposals of the Program. The Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey in the Republic of Bulgaria, H.E. Mr. Hasan ULUSOY was an official guest at the ceremony.

In total 23 project at the amount of EUR 8 271 744 will start their implementation. A further 11 subsidy contracts are expected to be signed for another EUR 2 476 618.

More than 50 people, including representatives of organizations such as municipalities, public companies, cultural and educational institutions, NGOs, etc. from both Bulgaria and Turkey, attended the ceremony.
