The Guardians of Thrace project focuses on the imagination and enthusiasm of young people on both sides of the border. The heirs of this beautiful and rich history and nature region entered the project activities with desire and excitement. They are the people who will protect the nature of Thrace, inspire their friends and family, and preserve natural resources for future generations after them. Environmental education is a long and complex process, and with the project activities, the goal was achieved to direct young people to realize the needs of Nature and direct them to activities for its conservation. Sustainable use of natural resources was also part of the project activities. The project partners are educational institutions operating in the partner countries. The target group of the project includes students from Bulgaria and Turkey, aged 10 to 15 years. By intertwining theoretical knowledge, in the form of talks, round tables, lectures, and practical parts, such as planting trees, flowers, working with laboratory kits, etc., students received a good foundation for their future development as ambassadors of the ecological idea among their peers.
