Joint Monitoring Committee (JMC) meeting under Interreg-IPA CBC Bulgaria-Turkey Programme 2014-2020 - 29.06.2016, Edirne, Turkey

On 29.06.2016 in Edirne, Turkey a JMC meeting under Interreg-IPA CBC Bulgaria-Turkey Programme 2014-2020, co-financed under IPA II will be held. The Joint Monitoring Committee includes representatives of central administrations from both partnering countries, district administrations from the cross-border region and non-governmental organizations.

At the JMC meeting the results from the administrative compliance and eligibility check of the project proposals under the First Call for Proposals of the Interreg - IPA CBC Bulgaria-Turkey Programme 2014-2020 will be reviewed. The First Call for Proposals has been announced on November 16th, 2015 with a deadline for submission – March 16th, 2016. The Call has been opened for Priority axes 1 and 2. The available financial resources amounted to 11 028 255 Euro, allocated for the budget period 2015 – 2017. Within the set deadline 195 project proposals have been received.

During the session the overall progress of the Programme, including the implementation of e-Cohesion initiative, the forthcoming Programme implementation activities and events as well as the evaluation plan of the Programme will be discussed.

The meeting will be co-chaired by Ms. Denitsa Nikolova, Deputy Minister of Regional Development and Public Works of Republic of Bulgaria and by Ms. Beyza Turan, Director of “Financial cooperation” Directorate in the Ministry of EU Affairs of Republic of Turkey.
